Constitutional Referendum
A Constitutional Referendum will be held for the whole Shire and will be conducted at the same time as the “A” Ward by-election on Saturday 13 February 2010.

Level 1 Water Restrictions will be enforced in the Leeton Shire from 9th October, 2009.
Level one water restrictions permit watering of gardens and lawns with handheld hoses at any time, preferably in the morning and evening. The use of fixed sprinklers and sprays for lawns and gardens is permitted between the hours of 5.00pm and 9.00am. Additionally, water must not be used to wash paved or concreted areas at any time unless it is necessary to do so in case of an accident, fire or other emergency. A fountain or pond that does not recycle water must not be operated.

You're not too late for Vance Estate!
Leeton Shire Council is urging the local business community to take advantage of a concessional offer, aimed at stimulating land sales and industrial activity in the Vance Estate. This concessional offer involves an incentive to purchasers and developers of any Council owned allotments within the Vance Industrial Estate stage II.
There are currently 23 blocks available, and any blocks sold before 30 June 2010, and paid for in full, will be discounted by 20%.
Leeton Council has recognised that business needs assistance following a difficult period, and has risen to the task.
